Mavericks Tie Series 2-2 With Season Ending Win Over Grizzles (100-93)

With having to leave most of the starting line up at home due to injury The Dallas Mavericks were nervous coming into the last game of their regular season series.  Players D. Nowitzki, H. Barnes and W. Matthews couldn't make the last game but watched as their teammates pushed all game battling with the Grizzlies.  Memphis, the seventh seed in the Western Conference, was led by M. Conley and Z. Randolph, who scored 15 points each. M. Gasol added 13 points.  V. Carter who had played in his 1,347th game, passed Kobe Bryant for 13th in regular-season games played.  

       On Mavericks side D. Powell finished with 12 pts, 3 reb and 1 stl, N. Brussino had 15 pts, 7 reb, 7 ast and 2 stl.  The Mavericks ended their season on this win but the Grizzlies will begin the playoffs action Saturday night against the San Antonio Spurs April 15th 

Pacers Move into Playoffs over Hawks (104-86)

After a one point win in game 2 the Indiana Pacers needed to pick up the pace to make sure they secured a spot in the playoffs.  this wasn't a hard task to P. George who scored 32 pts 12 of which was in the 4th qtr, not to mention 11 reb, 3 ast and 1 stl, J. Teague finished with 19 pts and 7 ast, while L. Stephenson had 4 pts, 10 reb, 6 ast, 1 stl and 1 blk.  

       On the Hawks end after trailing 50-43 at halftime and 65-49 midway through the fourth quarter, the Hawks cut the deficit to 92-84 with 5:32 left.  E. Ilyasova finished with 15 pts 3 reb, 1 ast and 1 stl, T. Prince had 11 pts, 2 reb, 2 ast and 1 stl, J. Calderon had 12 pts. The Pacers pushed The Hawks out the way to start their first playoff game against Cleveland this Saturday April 15th 

Celtics Seal No. 1 Seed Against Bucks (112-94)

Coming into the 3rd game of the regular season series, leading by as much as 13pts in the first half the Bucks were having a good startup to soon devastating game, after the Celtics went on a 14 point run out of the 16 points to secure their lead before the half 10 of which was shot by I. Thomas including eight straight. I. Thomas who finished with 13 pts, 4 reb, 8 ast and 1 stl was on the bench during the second half.  But G. Green picked up the slack scoring 18 pts, 6 reb and 1 ast, and J. Crowder had 16 pts, 5 reb, 2 ast and 3 stl.  

       On the Bucks end M. Beasley had 15 pts, 5 reb, 2 ast, 3 stl and 3 blk, R. Vaughn finished with 14 pts, 3 reb, 4 ast and 2 stl.  The Celtics won their series 2-1 over the Bucks, and now start the first playoff game of the new series against The Chicago Bulls Game 1 is Sunday night April 16th.

Raptors Beat Cavaliers for last season win (98-83)

Some Would say the Cavaliers have staggered this season with Player L. James being on rest for the Playoffs and Finals but they made it through to the end of this series against the Raptors winning 3-1 although this last game where they took a loss seemed like their laziest with starters T. Thompson and D. Williams both scoring only 10 points and I. Shumpert having 11 points not much effort was put into the game by the team as seen over the last 4 games but did hold true to the Cavalier name by making it to the Playoffs.  

      On the Opposite end The Raptors have struggled this season with The Cavaliers losing 3-1 but still holding a spot in the playoffs.  N. Powell Finished with 25 points against the Cavaliers, K. Lowery and J. Valanciunas both scored 13 points and B. Cabocio had 11 points.  

      The Cleveland Cavaliers won their series against the Toronto Raptors 3-1 and will move forward in the playoffs against The Indiana Pacers and The Raptors will face The Milwaukee Bucks both games are this Sunday April 16th. 

Nuggets Take Last Win in Series Against Thunder (111-105)

The Denver Nuggets seemed pretty unlucky after suffering three losses against Oklahoma City Thunder.  But in a last ditch effort The Nuggets pushed out a win in the last game of their regular season against OKC.  N. Jokic finished with 29 pts, 16 reb, and 8 ast for The Nuggets while J. Murry had 27 points and M. Beasley scored 17 points.  For Oklahoma City R. Westbrook scored 5 pts, 5 reb, 8 ast and 1 blk, looking for another triple double after setting his record of 42 in a regular season.  

       Westbrook was also honored before the game by the records previous owner Oscar Robertson Who gave a speech.  T. Gibson Walked away with 13 points and E. Kanter had 12 points. The Denver Nuggets ended their regular season with this win.  The Oklahoma City Thunder will start their playoff season against Houston on Sunday April 16th    

Bulls Leave Nets In Brooklyn on Loss, Head For Playoffs (112-73)

Coming into a 2-1 lead in the series The Chicago Bulls were ready for the last game of the regular season.  J. Butler who scored 25 points in yesterdays game alongside D. Wade who had 7 points and R.Rondo who finished with 10 points.   Paul Zipser added a career-high 21 points off the bench as Chicago took advantage of a short-handed Brooklyn lineup to secure its first playoff appearance under coach Fred Hoiberg.  

        The already twice defeated Brooklyn Nets who is said to have the worst record in the league was 3 for 33 from the 3-point range and missing its key players including T. Booker, J. Lin and B. Lopez.  A. Goodwin made off with 20 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast and 1 stl, K. McDaniels had 15 points and J. Hamilton scored 8 points.  The Brooklyn Nets ended their regular season with this loss and The Chicago Bulls begin their playoff season against The Boston Celtics this Sunday April 16th.
